Are shrimp shells safe for cats?
Shrimp are small shellfish, often sold with the shells and tails still on. The shells and tails are a choking and blockage risk, so they should always be removed. Plain, fully cooked, peeled shrimp meat is fine as an occasional treat, though some cats are allergic to shellfish.

- Cook it thoroughly with no oil or seasoning
- Offer a small piece first in case of allergy
