Is pomegranate safe for cats?
Pomegranate is a round red fruit filled with juicy, seed-like arils inside a bitter rind. A few arils are not known to be toxic to cats, but the fruit is unnecessary and the rind can upset the stomach. Cats are obligate carnivores, so they get what they need from meat and never need pomegranate. If you offer it at all, treat it as a rare, tiny extra.
