Is jackfruit safe for cats?
Jackfruit is a huge tropical fruit with sweet, stringy yellow flesh, large seeds and a spiky green rind. Jackfruit is not known to be toxic to cats, but it is sugary and unnecessary for a meat-eating animal. Cats are obligate carnivores, so they get what they need from meat and never need jackfruit. If you offer it at all, treat it as a rare, tiny extra.

- Offer only ripe flesh, cut into small pieces
- Remove every seed and all of the rind
- Keep portions tiny because of the high sugar
