Are bananas safe for cats?
Bananas are soft, sweet fruits that grow in bunches and are known for being rich in potassium. Banana is not toxic to cats, but it is sugary and unnecessary for a meat-eating animal, and many cats simply ignore it. Cats are obligate carnivores, so they get what they need from meat and never need bananas. If you offer them at all, treat them as a rare, tiny extra.
