Is longan safe for dogs?
Longan is a small round fruit with a thin brown shell, translucent sweet flesh and a shiny black seed. Longan flesh is sweet and fine as a rare, tiny treat, but the seed and shell are not safe.
How to reduce the risks if you offer longan
- Peel and deseed every piece
- Serve one or two small pieces at most
- Wash the fruit before peeling

How much longan can my dog have?
