Are sardines safe for cats?
Sardines are small oily fish, often sold canned. Sardines packed in water with no added salt are an acceptable occasional treat for cats. Cats are obligate carnivores, so they get what they need from meat and never need sardines. If you offer them at all, treat them as a rare, tiny extra.
