Chicken liver is a nutrient-dense organ meat rich in vitamin A and iron. Small amounts of cooked liver are fine as an occasional treat, but too much over time can cause vitamin A toxicity. Cats are obligate carnivores, so they get what they need from meat and never need chicken liver. If you offer it at all, treat it as a rare, tiny extra.
